I get to introduce one of my favorite Altman films ever this coming Monday. We are screening MCCABE & MRS MILLER at the Arclight Theatre in Sherman Oaks and I get the pleasure of presenting the film. It's part of a month long series of Warren Beatty films we are showing to coincide with Beatty receiving the AFI Lifetime Achievement award on June 12th. I saw this film when it opened in 1971 & was amazed at Altman's realistic modes of everyday conversation. I also loved the music by Leonard Cohen & performance by Shelley Duvall.
